Following the closing of the vaunted Drumstick, The Mountain's Bar became our new Friday/Saturday night two-night-stand favorite. Like The Drumstick, the proprietors and bartenders here were all characters and were always as accommodating as could be. Glady's, the senior citizen door lady, was infamous for her crazy post show anti Hitler chant-stomp she had learned as a child---she would do it on nights when she had imbided a few too many cocktails. Connie, proprietor and lead beertender and master of Micah's Whiskey Sour, loved us for all the obvious reasons including the fact that we always packed the joint---especially on game days.
